## Description

As a Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Officer, you will monitor the quality and safety of regulated and non-regulated adult social care services.

You will conduct visits to care providers to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.

Your responsibilities will also include leading and coordinating safeguarding enquiries and investigations, supporting the Chair of safeguarding strategy meetings, and contributing to multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.

You will work closely with providers to improve practice and strengthen safeguarding arrangements, develop and maintain systems for monitoring quality and safeguarding performance, analyse information, and produce reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior leaders.

The role involves responding to concerns, complaints, and emerging risks within the care market, and collaborating with health colleagues, social work teams, mental health services, and other partners to improve outcomes for residents.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Strong knowledge of adult safeguarding legislation, policy, and practice.

- Experience of working within adult social care, health, commissioning, quality assurance, or safeguarding environments.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

- The ability to influence, challenge, and support providers to achieve high standards.

- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

- Experience of working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and agencies.

- Knowledge of key legislation including the Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, Care-related legislation, and Equality legislation.

- A commitment to promoting dignity, independence, choice, and person-centred support.

The salary for this role is GBP 50,676 - 53,919 per year.
