## Description

IOM is seeking a highly experienced professional to lead its Resources Management Unit in Ankara, Türkiye. The successful candidate will serve as a core member of the senior management team and provide strategic leadership and advisory services on resource management, financial sustainability, and operational governance.

**Introduction** IOM, a Related Organization of the United Nations, is the leading UN agency in the field of migration. Established in 1951, IOM works closely with governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental partners to promote humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all.

**Organizational Context and Scope** The Head of Resources Management Unit will work under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission and provide strategic guidance on resource management, financial sustainability, and operational governance. The incumbent will lead the development and implementation of integrated resource management strategies, aligning financial planning with programmatic priorities, growth objectives, and long-term sustainability.

**Responsibilities** The responsibilities of the Head of Resources Management Unit include:

- Providing strategic leadership and advisory services to the Chief of Mission and senior management team

- Leading the development and implementation of integrated resource management strategies

- Ensuring robust financial planning frameworks and providing strategic financial analysis

- Safeguarding organizational assets through strong internal control systems

- Overseeing human resources management and providing support to the HR function

- Driving cost-efficiency, value-for-money, and responsible resource management strategies

- Supporting the Chief of Mission in managing risks across the portfolio

- Strengthening results-based management and ensuring effective cost allocation mechanisms

- Providing functional oversight of Country Office ICT services and assets

- Leading, managing, and developing a multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral operations team

- Engaging with donors, government counterparts, and UN partners on financial and operational matters

**Qualifications** The required qualifications and experience for this position include:

- Master's degree in a relevant field such as finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or public administration

- At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in a humanitarian or development organization

- Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and financial planning

- Experience in leading a team and providing strategic guidance and support
