## Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Barclays, located in Pune, Gera Commerzone SEZ. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

**Accountabilities**

- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to define software requirements and devise solution strategies.

- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

- Stay updated on industry technology trends and innovations, contributing to the organisation's technology communities.

- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure secure software solutions.

- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

**Basic/ Essential Qualifications**

- Strong developer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and distributed technologies, including AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Spark.

- Skilled in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation, testing frameworks, and modern engineering toolchains across SQL/NoSQL environments.

- Demonstrated strength in stakeholder engagement, effective communication, and driving high-quality delivery in agile environments.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

**Desirable skillsets/ good to have**

- Working experience in Agile Methodology.

- Structured approach to problem solving and ability to manage parallel streams of work.

- Strong interpersonal and written/oral communications skills.
