## Description

We are seeking an Onsite IT Support Technician to join our team at IQVIA's Nexelis facility in Laval, Quebec. As an onsite IT Support Technician, you will provide second-tier IT support to around 200 end-users in our state-of-the-art facility.

The IT Support function is crucial to our business as we are developing vaccine technology for a broad array of infectious diseases, and having fully functioning IT services enables our employees to continue to support the development of better and safer drugs and vaccines.

Responsibilities:

- Recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties and recommend system modifications to reduce user problems.

- Escalate more complex problems to the appropriate level of management and provide information on problems that are severe in nature or that are exceeding target dates.

- Adhere to established IT policies, procedures, and standards and ensure conformance with information systems, goals, and procedures.

- Provide creative, effective solutions and recommend procedures and resources to enhance efficiency, productivity, and end-user satisfaction.

- Offer training to end-users when indicated.

- Provide guidance to less experienced Service Desk staff in areas such as problem resolution and communication.

- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the day-to-day operating environment, available tools, and client applications.

- Perform duties outside working hours as needed.

Requirements:

- Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).

- Experience with PC software (Microsoft operating systems and applications suites, email systems, etc.) within a network environment or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft server, workstation, and networking technologies.

- Working knowledge of industry standards regarding system and network administration.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong bilingual communication and writing skills - French/English.
