## Description

We are seeking a Porter to join our team at The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle. As a bank role, you will work on an 'as and when required' basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Your duties will include:

- Undertaking general and ad hoc tasks to meet the requirements of the site, such as patient, equipment, and goods movement

- Explaining hospital facilities and services to patients and family members when escorting them to rooms or other hospital areas

- Providing a courteous service to internal and external customers

- Ensuring patient comfort and dignity are always maintained

- Providing security for the facility as required, ensuring compliance with security processes and external patrols

- Complying with all relevant mandatory training

To be considered for this role, you should have:

- Frontline customer-facing experience

- Previous portering experience in a healthcare, hotel, or hospitality setting (beneficial)

- Maths and English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence

- Proficiency in the use of a PC, including software and systems

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.71 per hour, depending on level of experience, training, and qualification.
