## Description

Transform technology into opportunity as a Network Infrastructure Technician - Tier 1 with GDIT. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program, ensuring efficient and secure network operations.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting network systems

- Convey technical information to non-technical staff and coordinate across teams

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls

- Support installation, configuration, and testing of network hardware and software

- Respond to user inquiries and issues related to network connectivity

- Maintain detailed records of network configurations, incidents, and changes in network topology

- Update network diagrams, inventories, and other related documentation

- Work closely with senior network technicians, IT support, and other departments

Requirements:

- 1-3+ years of related experience

- High school diploma

- Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification

- SECRET clearance level

- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN technologies, network protocols, and network hardware

- Strong analytical skills with a focus on troubleshooting and diagnosing network issues

- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and professionally with non-technical staff

Preferred Skills:

- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

- Cisco Certified CCNA

- Experience with USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission

- Knowledge and familiarity with USCENTCOM's IT environment
