## Job Overview

As a Software Engineer - Networking Software and Services at xAI, you will build cutting-edge software, services, and frameworks for the Network Development Engineers. You will work hands-on on all facets of network management, including metric collection, configuration, zero-touch provisioning, monitoring, and auto-remediation. Your goal will be to drive automation-first solutions for xAI's production and ancillary networks.

## Responsibilities

You will develop extensible tools, streamline complex processes, and ensure high reliability to support xAI's mission of accelerating human scientific discovery through AI. Key areas of focus include:

- Building software and tools with extensive metrics coverage for large GPU supercomputing network fabrics used for AI training and serving customer inference queries.

- Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, enhancing deployment pipelines, and ensuring robust, secure service delivery across production environments.

## Requirements and Preferences

Preferred skills and experience:

- Daily collaboration with network engineers, using extensive knowledge of network topologies and protocols.

- Expertise in designing scalable and reliable software that can build and orchestrate tens of thousands of network devices quickly.

- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and create metrics to prioritize team focus.

## Compensation and Benefits
