## Description

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team at Barclays. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in enabling data-driven strategic and operational decision making by extracting actionable insights from large datasets.

**Responsibilities:**

- Investigate and analyse data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification

- Design and build data pipelines to automate data movement and processing

- Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations

- Translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations

- Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports

- Contribute to setting strategy and making recommendations for change

- Manage and maintain policies and processes

- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls

**Requirements:**

- Experience with delivery of analytical outputs that convert complex data into clear insight and recommendations

- Cleaning and preparing data with accuracy

- Using Excel and spreadsheets to organize and study information

- Working with SQL to manage and query databases

- Applying statistical methods to understand patterns

- Creating clear visuals and explaining insights in a simple way

- Using programming tools like Python or R for deeper analysis

**Nice to Have:**

- Deliver high-quality analytical work in a timely manner

- Demonstrate strong technical and business knowledge across data analysis and reporting

- Understand the underlying principles and drivers within the relevant business area

- Lead analytical workstreams or small teams
