## Description

As a Software Engineering Intern at Mercury, you will receive mentorship from experienced engineers, write TypeScript and/or Haskell code, and contribute to a product that serves over 300,000 businesses.

You will join a team that aligns with your goals and interests. During the interview process, you will have the opportunity to discuss various team openings.

All Engineering Interns should:

- Be interested in continually improving their skills

- Be curious and willing to share their perspective

- Appreciate quality in their work and that of others

- Communicate effectively and write clear explanations of technical decisions

Backend Engineering Interns:

- Should have experience with Haskell or a strong desire to learn it

- Should have some familiarity with SQL

- Will collaborate with data analysts to build features, provide backend services, build admin tools, and integrate with third-party APIs

Frontend Engineering Interns:

- Should have experience with TypeScript

- Experience with React is a plus

- Will work on a beautiful app, push the limits of TypeScript, and exercise ownership over the product

Full-stack Engineering Interns:

- Should have experience with Haskell and TypeScript

- Should have some familiarity with SQL

- Will perform a combination of frontend and backend work

This is a paid, full-time, remote spring internship for 12-16 weeks between January and May. The hourly rate for US-based candidates is $55, and for Canada-based candidates, it is CAD 55.
