## Description

Join NVIDIA's Legal team as a Privacy Counsel in Santa Clara, CA. You'll be at the forefront of privacy law, collaborating with world-class colleagues and contributing to NVIDIA's ambitious goals.

**Job Summary:** As a Privacy Counsel, you will review vendor contracts and data processing agreements, support outbound data sharing arrangements, contribute to scalable processes and playbooks, consult with business partners, and keep up-to-date with legal developments in privacy law.

**Responsibilities:**

- Review vendor contracts and data processing agreements (DPAs), focusing on privacy, data use, and security provisions.

- Support outbound data sharing arrangements with third parties, including assisting with data transfer risk assessments and ensuring appropriate contractual safeguards are in place.

- Contribute to developing scalable processes and playbooks for vendor privacy review and third-party data sharing.

- Consult with business partners on privacy considerations arising from new products, partnerships, and data initiatives.

- Stay up-to-date with legal developments in privacy law, including U.S. state privacy regulations and international frameworks like GDPR, and offer advice on their practical implications.

- Collaborate with the legal and privacy team on various data governance and privacy issues, such as drafting guidelines and helping develop training materials.

- Grow into broader privacy and data governance responsibilities as the program evolves.

**Requirements:**

- J.D. degree with a record of strong academic performance.

- 4+ years of experience in privacy law, including involvement with vendor contracts, DPAs, and/or data sharing agreements.

- Fundamental understanding of key privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other relevant U.S. state privacy statutes.

- License to practice law in California.

- Strong communication and organizational abilities, including writing, attention to detail, and the capability to handle multiple workstreams efficiently.

- Practical, business-minded approach to legal risk, with the ability to provide clear, actionable mentorship.

**Nice to Have:**

- Experience at a technology company or in a practice group focused on technology transactions or data privacy.

- Familiarity with AI, data governance, or cybersecurity legal issues , or a desire to develop expertise in these areas.

- CIPP/US, CIPP/E, or similar privacy certification.

- History of contributing to scalable legal processes and internal resources.

- Passion for continuous learning and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 120,000 USD - 207,000 USD for Level 2, and 168,000 USD - 264,500 USD for Level 3. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
