## Description

WSP USA's Water Team is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to work out of their Chicago office, with consideration for other locations including Indianapolis, Detroit, Minneapolis, St. Louis, and Springfield, IL.

As a summer intern, you will participate in a 12-week program starting on May 17th, 2027, with a flexible individual start date.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting various engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills

- Learning basic principles of Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering

- Assisting with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis

- Supporting preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates

- Collecting and maintaining project documentation

- Completing training on assigned tasks

- Exercising responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering or related undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later

- Must be 18 or older

- Demonstrated interest in water or a related field

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools

- Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications:

- Enrollment in an accredited engineering or related master's or PhD program

- Prior internship and leadership experience

Compensation: $19 - $30 per hour
