## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for working closely with a few of our largest customers to understand their business challenges and requirements, architecting solutions using Starburst products and driving business outcomes across the customer journey, from initial engagement to successful adoption.

As a Technical Engagement Manager, you will establish trust and credibility by demonstrating Data & AI industry knowledge, understanding of the buyer's organization, and a track record of successful engagements. You will build and nurture strong relationships with the champion, who serves as the internal advocate for the engagement within the customer organization.

Key responsibilities include:

- Establishing trust and credibility with customers

- Building and nurturing strong relationships with champions

- Offering support and guidance to champions throughout the engagement process

- Proactively addressing concerns and objections raised by other stakeholders

- Soliciting feedback from other stakeholders throughout the engagement process

- Collaborating with sales teams to understand customer needs and objectives

- Driving adoption of Starburst culminating in the Customer reaching its success criteria

Some of the things we look for include:

- A Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field

- A deep understanding of data architecture principles, including data modeling, data integration, and data warehousing

- Proficiency in SQL and experience with distributed query engines (e.g., Presto, Trino, Apache Spark)

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about business challenges and technical solutions

- A proven track record of successfully managing customer engagements and delivering business outcomes

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams

We offer a competitive salary range of $155,000-$190,000 USD, depending on relevant skills, experience, education, and training, and specific work location. All employees receive equity packages (ISOs) and have access to a comprehensive benefits offering.
