## Description

We are seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Bishops Wood Hospital in Middlesex. The successful candidate will have significant experience in the perioperative setting with specialist knowledge in orthopaedic surgery.

The role involves preparing and handling specialist instrumentation and equipment, providing skilled assistance to the surgical and anaesthetic teams, and taking a senior role in preparing theatres and coordinating surgical lists.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) with comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of procedures, including complex cases. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills are also essential.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing and handling specialist instrumentation and equipment

- Providing skilled assistance to the surgical and anaesthetic teams

- Taking a senior role in preparing theatres and coordinating surgical lists

- Supervising junior theatre practitioners and healthcare assistants

- Identifying and escalating clinical or operational risks
