## Description

Leidos' Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Production Manager to join its team supporting a stand-alone manufacturing facility performing work on a hypersonic weapon system as well as other DOD and aerospace applications.

The Production Manager will be part of the site leadership team and have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team to support the nation's war fighters. The role requires agility, flexibility, and creativity to successfully navigate production challenges.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

- Manage and lead a team of production technicians

- Maintain shop organization and 5S, performing weekly 5S audits

- Brief the team in daily morning meetings on the status of production jobs

- Work with the production control team to understand deliverables and deploy resources effectively to support on-time delivery

- Work with manufacturing engineering to continuously improve production flow

- Work with quality to understand the status of nonconformities and support closure to move forward to the next step

- Identify production roadblocks and escalate to appropriate teams

- Hold the team accountable for adhering to written production processes

- Identify and support the execution of continuous improvement projects

- Identify and escalate risks in the production processes

- Maintain department performance metrics

- The candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

**Basic Qualifications:**

- At least 5 years of manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility

- Prior supervisory experience

- Prior exposure to precision machining and assembly processes

- Experience with MRP/ERP systems

- Understanding of GD&T

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- BS degree in engineering, logistics, or business

- Lean manufacturing experience with Six Sigma certification

- Prior experience in Deltek Costpoint

- Secret Security Clearance

The pay range for this job is $92,300.00 - $166,850.00.
