## Job Overview

We are looking for an Associate Technical Services Engineer to join our team in Milan. As a Technical Services Engineer, you will combine exceptional problem-solving and communication skills with deep technical experience to advise customers and solve complex MongoDB problems.

## Key Responsibilities

- Work alongside large customers, solving complex challenges related to architecture, performance, recovery, security, and more

- Be an expert resource on best practices in running MongoDB at scale

- Advocate for customers' needs, interfacing with product management and development teams

- Contribute to internal projects, including software development of support tools

- Focus on the performance of our Cloud platform Atlas and its supported services

- Help frontend and backend developers build next-generation applications on MongoDB

- Share technical knowledge with the team through informal conversations, training, and workshop sessions

- Document solutions in our knowledge base system to increase efficiency

## Requirements

- 3-4 years of experience in technical support, solutions support, or customer-facing engineering

- Experience with distributed systems, database architecture and administration, application architecture, and data architecture

- Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting experience

- Broad awareness of customer workloads and use cases

- Systems administration experience, including Linux performance, memory management, and security

- Basic coding/scripting ability in one or more languages

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Good written and verbal skills in Italian and English

## Nice to Have

- Server-side troubleshooting

- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming languages

- Experience with Apache Spark, authentication systems, and distributed version control systems

- Experience using or managing MongoDB, cloud services stacks, and Kubernetes

## Success Measures

- Gain a deep understanding of MongoDB and its ecosystem within 3 months

- Complete New Hire Training and become comfortable working directly with customers within 6 months

- Work on gaining expertise to be part of a technical experts group within the MongoDB ecosystem within 12 months
