## Description

The Role…

At Soho House, the Receiver handles and processes all food and beverage stock ordered for the house. As the Receiver, you will oversee the cleanliness of storage areas, back landing, dry storage, wash area, walk-ins, chef storage, freight elevator, and garbage room. You will maintain an efficient flow of goods, documenting, storing, locating, and distributing stock for departments. This involves inspecting and sorting shipments while keeping up with invoices to ensure orders are correct.

Main Duties:

- Receive and verify all perishable and non-perishable beverage and food orders, documenting the quantity received of produce, fruits, dry goods, liqueur, chemicals, and supplies.

- Support vendors and management in receiving supplies as needed.

- Check received merchandise for quality and quantity, rejecting unacceptable merchandise.

- Distribute merchandise according to food safety rules and storage orders.

- Ensure the smooth working of FIFO of walk-ins and freezer.

- Conduct inventory as advised and communicate results to management.

- Complete daily checklists with the overnight porter.

- Wipe down and sanitize all areas of bar storage.

Requirements:

- 1+ years of relative experience in a professional, efficient, high-quality service-oriented operation.

- Ability to read and write English, read labels, and follow safety instructions.

- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.

- Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.

- Fast-paced movements are required.

- Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.

- Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required.

The salary range for this role if filled within California is $24-$25 USD.
