## Description

SpaceXAI is seeking a skilled AI Design Specialist to enhance its models by providing high-quality data annotations and inputs tailored to design contexts.

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in fields such as graphic design, brand and visual design, product or UI/UX design, web design, game design, and illustration to support the training of Grok.

You will evaluate, refine, and create design work so Grok can distinguish weak design from work that is clear, functional, and well-resolved.

Responsibilities:

- Evaluate design outputs across formats, including visual assets, layouts, documents, websites, interactive prototypes, and games.

- Distinguish weak design from work that is clear, functional, and well-resolved.

- Refine, restyle, or recreate outputs when they fall short.

- Write precise annotations and critiques advising on design quality.

- Help label high-quality datasets spanning graphic design, interface design, web experiences, and related design writing.

- Collaborate with engineering teams on evaluation tasks and examples.

Basic Qualifications:

- Demonstrated design excellence in at least one professional discipline.

- A portfolio showing strong taste and finished, high-quality work.

- Sharp eye for fundamentals: visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, color, composition, consistency, and clarity of communication.

- Ability to evaluate design quality even outside your primary specialty.

- Fluency in English, with excellent written communication.

- High attention to detail and comfort working from evolving instructions.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Strength across more than one design domain.

- Experience shipping or professionally reviewing websites, product interfaces, or games.

- Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design principles.

- Working knowledge of modern design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or equivalent.

- Experience with generative AI design tools.

- Prior experience in design critique, art direction, QA, design review, data annotation, dataset creation, or AI evaluation.

Location and Other Expectations:

- Tutor roles may be offered as full-time, part-time, or contractor positions.

- For contractor positions, hours will vary widely based on project scope and contractor availability.

- Tutor roles may be performed remotely from any location worldwide.

Compensation and Benefits:

- US-based candidates: $35/hour - $75/hour depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications.
