As a Specialty Sales Team Leader at Target, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales growth, and leading a team of consultants. **Responsibilities:** - Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience - Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations - Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognising great guest experience moments - Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align team on the right behaviours and execution - Demonstrate a service culture that prioritises the guest service experience - Plan daily/weekly workload at the direction of your direct leader and execute the same to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement - Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning - Develop, coach, and lead a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate - Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns - Encourage team to use tools available in their department to welcome, inspire and influence guests - Partner with third-party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are being met - Support team execution of changes and updates to merchandise sets and visual presentations - Create inspiring visual moments by ensuring product is organised, signed correctly and merchandised to support seasonal trends - Support your direct leader in leading assigned department area backroom processes, organisation, layout and replenishment of the sales floor - Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes - Lead your team in prioritising the guest experience by ensuring the fitting rooms are welcoming, clean and safe - Support your direct leader in establishing clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations - Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance - Lead and demonstrate a safety culture through modelling and recognising safe behaviours - Model the execution of physical security processes to enhance the in-store security culture - Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store - Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities - Address all store emergency and compliance needs - Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) **Requirements:** - High school diploma or equivalent - Must be at least 18 years of age or older - Previous retail experience preferred, but not required - Lead and hold others accountable - Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment - Work independently and as part of a team - Manage workload and prioritise tasks independently - Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members - Effective communication skills - Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes **Physical Demands:** - Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues - Interpret instructions, reports and information - Accurately handle cash register operations as needed - Climb up and down ladders as needed - Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely - Flexible work schedule and reliable and prompt attendance necessary - Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements - Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift ## Skills ### Required - Communication - Leadership - Time Management - Teamwork - Problem-solving ### Nice to have - Retail experience - Leadership experience --- Source: [Apply at target.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com](https://target.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/targetcareers/job/1201-WP-Ball-Blvd-SanfordFL-32771-7204/Specialty-Sales-Team-Leader_R0000476480?utm_source=yubhub.co&utm_medium=jobs_feed&utm_campaign=apply)
