## Description

Join our team as a Phlebotomist in the Core Lab at Johnston Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will perform phlebotomy procedures and patient point-of-care testing to support clinical activities.

Responsibilities:

* Consult with healthcare providers and patients regarding patient care as it relates to phlebotomy service issues
* Ensure quality and accuracy of work
* Investigate problems with equipment, patient results, specimens, and workflow
* Participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments
* Teach and train new employees, phlebotomy students, and other healthcare providers
* Review test results to ensure accuracy of reporting and timely correction of errors or report results to healthcare providers
* Perform phlebotomy procedures, quality control, and equipment maintenance in the appropriate laboratory
* Monitor daily operation of laboratory work area and ensure completion of daily work and assigned tasks

Requirements:

* One year of phlebotomy experience required, or
* Graduation from a phlebotomy program with no previous experience
* No licensure or certification required

Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity. Salary range: $18.12 - $25.51 per hour (Hiring Range)
