## Job Overview

As a Paralegal, Compliance at Carta, you will work to ensure compliance with AML, bribery, financial crime, and reputational exposure in private equity deal-making.

## Responsibilities

- Analyse transaction structures, identifying counterparties and conducting risk analysis

- Review complex entity ownership structures to build a complete picture of who sits behind every transaction

- Drive the materials-gathering process, liaising with deal teams, legal, compliance, and counterparties

- Collaborate with clients' legal and compliance teams to ensure transactions meet AML/CTF regulations and internal policies

## Team

You will join the Compliance – Transactional Sub Division under Carta Law, working with deal teams, lawyers, and compliance professionals on live transactions.

## Requirements

- Early-career with 1-2+ years of experience in a legal sector role or internship

- Strong analytical and communication skills

- Ability to work through complex structures carefully and methodically

- Deadline-oriented and adaptable, with experience in a fast-moving compliance environment

- Familiarity with fund structures, offshore jurisdictions, or KYC screening tools is a plus
