## Description

Join the BBC as a Junior Journalist apprentice and kick-start your career in journalism.  You'll work alongside experienced journalists, developing your skills and creating high-quality content.  As an apprentice, you'll learn on-the-job and work towards your NCTJ Diploma in Journalism and a Level 5 apprenticeship qualification.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Research and book guests, write briefs, and assist with interviews

- Develop compelling stories and bring important issues to life for diverse audiences

- Study for your industry-recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job

- Attend weekly virtual webinars and in-person bootcamps at PA Media Academy in London

**Your Skills and Eligibility:**

- Curious about people and what's happening in the world, with a keen interest in news

- Full of creative ideas and enjoy finding innovative ways to tell engaging stories

- Love finding things out, asking questions, and getting to the heart of a story

- Real enthusiasm for writing and communicating complex ideas clearly

**Eligibility Criteria:**

- Be 18 years old or over by the start of the apprenticeship

- Have lived in the UK continuously for the last three years

- Be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK

- Not currently enrolled in another apprenticeship programme

- Not already hold a qualification in the same subject area at the same or a higher level
