## Description

Zscaler seeks a Director, Sales Engineering to lead the US SLED Sales Engineering organization. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President, Solutions Consulting - Strategics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Recruit, mentor, and build a world-class team of sales engineering managers, architects, and individual contributors.

- Collaborate with sales leadership and clients to develop and execute winning segment and account-level strategies.

- Own the technical sales motion from start to finish.

- Refine and scale core sales engineering processes for consistency and efficiency.

- Act as a key technical leader and executive sponsor for strategic customers and partners.

- Drive the technical strategy that positions Zscaler solutions as essential to customers' long-term business objectives.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- 12+ years of experience in technical, customer-facing roles with at least 5 years of experience leading teams.

- Proficiency in selling network security technologies, including SSL and web-related technologies, proxies, caches, firewalls, SSL/IPsec, VPNs, DLP, anti-virus, spam, spyware solutions, and end-user monitoring.

- Ability to travel up to 40% to support teams and engage with customers.

- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Industry certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSA, CISSP, or CCSP.

- Hands-on leadership approach with experience engaging directly with strategic accounts.

- Deep understanding of complex, multi-year sales cycles and expertise in value-based storytelling.

- Strong AI fluency with experience leveraging coding assistants, LLMs, and Generative AI tools.
