## Description

Aviva Trial Lawyers is seeking a Litigation Clerk to support a lawyer in handling insurance defence litigation matters in Ontario. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid model, promoting flexibility, collaboration, and mentorship in both virtual and in-person settings.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Prepare and draft correspondence and legal documents, ensuring compliance with Civil Procedure Rules

- Compile books of authorities and factums

- Prepare and follow up on requests for productions and undertakings

- Summarize discovery notes, transcripts, and reports

- Arrange investigations, surveillance, and independent medical examinations

- Maintain file organization and update the lawyer's calendar and internal database

- Liaise with counsel, external parties, and claims operations

**Requirements:**

- Minimum 3+ years of legal assistant or law clerk experience in insurance defence or personal injury litigation

- Excellent computer skills, including MS Word and Outlook

- Proficiency in Civil Procedure Rules and Court forms

- Customer-service oriented with superb communication skills

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
