## Description

We are seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Bolton. As an electrically biased trades person, you will be responsible for undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, and building fabric within a retail property environment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Contract Manager

- Fault finding, testing, repairing, and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment

- Carrying out various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks

- Updating completed PPM tasks on the site computerized maintenance system

- Ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximize operation effectiveness and reliability

- Adhering to company QA and site procedures

- Following Health & Safety procedures at all times

- Maintaining accurate site records/documentation

- Inspecting the condition of services and dealing with call-outs/repairs as required

- Attending site emergencies outside of normal working hours

- Working at heights and in plant room environments

- Keeping company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner

- Proactively working towards the continued success and support of the contract

Essential qualifications and skills:

- City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Test & Inspection

- City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE

- Time served apprenticeship or equivalent training

- Demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering

- Customer service skills

- Smart appearance and presentable

- Logical thinker in fault finding situations

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Comfortable working within a team environment

- Able to work unsupervised

- Self-motivated and adaptable approach to work requirements

Desirable qualifications and skills:

- IPAF, PASMA

- Knowledge and use of computer software – Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems

- HVAC & Building Services Engineering experience
