## Description

Working as a Target Security Specialist means helping create a safe and secure environment for guests and team members. You will be part of the Assets Protection team, which focuses on preventing and resolving theft and fraud, as well as promoting a physical security culture throughout the store.

Your role will involve:

- Providing exceptional guest experiences by greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving issues promptly

- Promoting a physical security culture by assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store

- Responding to and documenting security incidents in a timely and accurate manner

- Using de-escalation tactics and resources when responding to security incidents

- Conducting merchandise theft recoveries and providing theft apprehension support as needed

- Preventing theft and shortage at the front of store by performing merchandise receipt checks

- Submitting documentation in the case management system for all incidents

- Understanding and using Target's video surveillance system

- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

- Meet the basic requirements of being at least 18 years old, having a high school diploma or equivalent, and meeting any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements

In terms of skills, you should be able to:

- Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment

- Manage your workload and prioritise tasks independently

- Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment

- Climb up and down ladders, apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy, and scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely
