## Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a nurse or pharmacist to join our Spirometry Service on a part-time basis (2 days a week), as part of NHC Bank. You will work as part of a team delivering spirometry and FeNO services across Newham GP practices on a 6-month assignment.

The post holder will be part of a team delivering the service as per the agreed service protocol. This will include pre-spirometry history/clinical assessment, spirometry +/- FeNO testing, and post-spirometry interpretation and reporting. The nurse/pharmacist will ensure patients receive optimal care and will determine what action is needed in accordance with the test result.

There will be opportunities for case discussion plus troubleshooting with consultant support. The aim is to help identify undiagnosed cases, provide more accurate diagnosis for those with cardiorespiratory disease, as well as optimising the clinical care and prescribing of patients with COPD, asthma, and other diagnoses.

We will work alongside the successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It is essential that you feel safe and supported in the role.

The successful post holder will ideally be ARTP certified; however, training can also be offered. To be successful, you will need to be registered with the NMC/GPhC and ideally have previous experience of working as a practice nurse/pharmacist in Primary Care.
