## Description

We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our team at our Norton Canes site in Staffordshire. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for safely managing the AD Plant and day-to-day site operations, maximising production to meet KPI's of the division.

Your core responsibilities:

- Short, medium, and long-term planning of health and safety and environmental compliance requirements and waste operations with the Plant Manager

- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act, other relevant legislation, and Company procedures

- Daily management of the day-to-day operations of the AD Plant

- Providing management and leadership support to the Plant Manager for the Operational Team

- Ensuring effective allocation of resources to complete tasks and operations safely, on time, and on budget

- Delivering programmes of Continuous Improvement across the site

- Delivering KPI targets against contract and business objectives

- Developing a working culture that enhances employee engagement

- Identifying areas to remove cost and improve profit

- Following procedures and best practice to ensure audit compliance and ISO accreditations are achieved

- Promoting a culture of safety, including accident, near miss, and incident reporting

- Participating in investigations, health and safety committees, and audits

- Communicating, coordinating, and controlling contractors on site

Requirements:

- Relevant management or safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH)

- Significant experience in waste, environmental, or operational management roles, with a track record of meeting KPIs and delivering continuous improvement

- Strong knowledge of waste and environmental legislation, including EA and ABPR regulations

- Experience liaising with regulatory authorities and implementing new processes or operational developments

- Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and computerised control systems (SCADA)
