## Description

The WSP Power and Energy (P&E) Power Delivery Substation Business Unit is seeking a Department Manager for the Substation Department in Ann Arbor, MI. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day activities, achieve department business plan goals, maintain high-quality standards, and support clients.

Responsibilities:

- Manage financial, technical, and staffing aspects of the department

- Apply high-level substation engineering techniques to improve infrastructure projects

- Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates

- Oversee cross-functional teams of engineers and scientific professionals

- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations

- Collaborate with other engineers, professionals, and leaders on proposal and business development opportunities

- Remain current in latest substation engineering techniques and practices

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline

- 7-10 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering

- Demonstrable experience as a leader of project and/or client teams

- Proficient with electrical engineering principles, practices, and design software

- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience as a people leader in a management capacity

- Professional Engineer License

- Demonstrated competence in working with other WSP departments
