## Description

WPMT-TV Harrisburg, a TEGNA-owned FOX affiliate, is seeking an experienced Executive Producer to lead its team of producers. The successful candidate will have prior TV leadership experience, a commitment to success, and a passion for mentoring and providing regular feedback to the team.

The Executive Producer will collaborate with producers to create engaging shows and explore new ways to present audience-focused content that meets the needs of the local community. The role involves overseeing the daily editorial process, reviewing and approving scripts, and ensuring that news coverage aligns with the company's brand, policies, and values.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and executing long-term newsroom strategies

- Training, developing, and coaching the newsroom team across all platforms

- Overseeing the daily editorial process and on-air execution

- Reviewing and approving scripts to ensure accuracy and quality

- Sourcing and recruiting top-notch journalists

- Coordinating coverage for breaking news, enterprise stories, and specials

- Ensuring compliance with FCC rules and company policies

- Managing newsroom operations and schedules

- Establishing goals and developing the local brand with newsroom management

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field

- Prior experience as a news producer and newsroom leader

- Track record of quality journalism and high integrity

- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines

- Knowledge of AP ENPS, Edius, photojournalism, and content management systems is a plus
