As a Customer and Trading Manager, you will be part of the management team that drives the business forward. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, often being the only manager on site. You will work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly, and you will be accountable for the full shop.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Working closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs like clockwork every day

- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store, often being the only manager in with accountability for the full shop

- Working alongside a team to complete all tasks, ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely

- Managing performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries, and ensuring scheduling and pay are accurate

- Helping another store occasionally, as part of a close-knit network of stores

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment

- Experience of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching a team to do the same

- Ability to deliver KPIs and other performance indicators

- Experience of managing disciplinaries, performance issues, and other employee relations issues

- Operational leadership skills, with the ability to lead operations alone in the absence of more senior management
