## Description

We're looking for a Software Engineer II to join the User Targeting team at Braze. The team is responsible for how customers segment and target their users. You will build and own features in a complex, high-scale segmentation system that underpins our entire product offering.

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement features across our Ruby on Rails backend and React frontend

- Take ownership of medium-sized projects and deliver them on time

- Write and tune queries against MongoDB and ClickHouse

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to clarify requirements and deliver features

- Write thorough automated tests and review teammates' code

Requirements:

- 2+ years of professional experience building and shipping web applications

- Solid understanding of software design, data structures, and algorithms

- Experience with SQL and at least one production database

- Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver them on time

Nice to Have:

- Familiarity with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, React, Sidekiq, and SQL/NoSQL databases

- Experience with MongoDB, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or other data lake solutions

- High-scale, high-throughput system experience
