## Description

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) job is a development-focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position.

As a SMIT, you will participate in a 16-week self-paced, collaborative training program that includes virtual and hands-on learning experiences to develop your leadership skills.

Some of the key responsibilities and skills required for this role include:

- Communicating effectively verbally and in writing to support and lead your team

- Performing customer care duties to provide high levels of service

- Executing merchandising strategies to support store sales growth

- Managing store inventory and assets to maintain profitability

- Actively engaging with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion

- Supporting your store as a management team member and leading in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies

- Engaging colleagues in support of the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health

Requirements for this role include:

- High School diploma or GED

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

- Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor

- Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs

- Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market

- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores located within the designated market
