## Description

The Security Section exists for the safety of all staff, patients, and visitors to the Hospital site.

You will be responsible for monitoring the CCTV System, responding to all alarms within the Hospital, and responding to duress calls made by members of the Hospital staff, patients, and visitors.

Your main duties will include:

- Maintaining a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors within the Hospital and grounds, and protecting all Hospital assets

- Responding promptly to incidents and emergencies within the Hospital site

- Providing documentation, reports, and liaising with outside agencies such as the Police

- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all wards, departments, and outside agencies

- Collecting evidence for the Police using the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 as required

- Representing the Hillingdon Hospital in Court, giving evidence in cases involving theft, violence, or damage to Hospital property, staff, patients, or visitors

- Escorting staff, cash, and patients' property around the Hospital on a regular basis

- Monitoring the car parks and issuing parking tickets to staff, patients, and visitors when necessary

- Issuing keys to Hospital departments as necessary

- Producing and issuing ID/Access Cards, maintaining electronic database records

The salary for this role is £30,630 to £32,346 per annum.

The Trust has over 3,500 members of staff and serves nearly half a million people.

## Skills

### Required
- Basic Computer Skills
- Experience of working in the security sector
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics

### Nice to have
- Experience of working in the NHS security sector
- Ability to utilise CCTV, Fire and Safety systems
