## Description

The Senior BOM Sourcing Engineer drives strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril's product hardware across their lifecycles. This involves collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally with teams in engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities include:

- Conducting supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list

- Partnering with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-off tables, should-cost models, joint design development, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs

- Developing and consolidating manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp up production internally and with suppliers

- Managing CAPEX throughout New Product Introduction (NPI)

- Optimizing supply network lead time and flexibility through value-stream mapping

- Conducting BOM risk assessments, including identifying alternate component sourcing

- Ensuring completion of all component qualifications ahead of production

- Reducing complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization

- Leading cost engineering activities to minimize total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle

- Managing ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and import/export costs

The ideal candidate has:

- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field

- At least 5 years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, or design of electronics and mechanical devices

- Expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level

- Ability to travel 10-40% of the time, depending on program needs

- Willingness to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, deeper experience in design and development of electronics/mechanical devices, advanced sourcing activities, supplier development, and early supplier engagement.
