## Description

We are seeking a Substation Project Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a Substation Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in executing substation physical and P&C projects. You will be responsible for performing quality control checks on substation design projects, reading and designing substation drawings, creating and checking bills of materials and estimates, and providing construction support.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field with four or more years of related substation design experience. Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and strong analytical skills are also required.

Responsibilities:

- Execute substation physical and P&C projects

- Perform quality control checks on substation design projects

- Read and design substation drawings

- Create and check bills of materials and estimates

- Provide construction support

- Work with clients to implement design

- Collaborate with designers and drafters to create project drawings

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field

- 4+ years of related substation design experience

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work independently

- Strong analytical skills

Preferred qualifications:

- Professional Engineer (PE) License

- Engineer Intern (EI) or EIT certification

- Experience with protection and control design

- Experience with bus calculations, relay settings, and grounding studies
