## Description

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Specialist to join our team in Mexico. As a Mortgage Specialist, you will play a critical role in the loan process, ensuring exceptional service to third parties and internal departments from application through funding.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate creditworthiness by reviewing third-party mortgage documentation to assess accuracy and credit risk.

- Analyse collateral documentation to ensure it supports the company's overall risk.

- Proactively clear prior-to-doc conditions to increase pull-through percentage.

- Meet or exceed daily production expectations while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.

- Adhere to federal, state, and HSBC regulatory compliance policies and maintain the HSBC Code of Ethics.

- Use professional judgement to identify and resolve issues early.

- Develop and sustain relationships with third-party vendors.

- Manage pipeline, taking accountability for loan processes, risk decisions, and meeting service level agreements.

- Achieve published standards and key performance indicators.

Qualifications / Requirements:

- Knowledge of mortgage products, documents, investor, and compliance requirements.

- Ability to make sound decisions based on information provided and defined policies.

- Strong customer service, organisational, and written/oral communication skills.

- Minimum 2 years' proven bank/mortgage business/mortgage systems experience.

- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Proficiency with PCs and pertinent HSBC systems and software.

- English Advanced
