As a General Merchandise Expert, you will be responsible for creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience. Your typical day will include:

- Greeting guests and providing excellent customer service

- Helping guests find what they need and resolving issues

- Executing daily tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, and maintaining the sales floor and backroom

- Operating power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified

- Learning and executing operational procedures such as setting and organizing merchandise, managing product accuracy and stock levels, and maintaining sales floor areas

- Following all Target policies and safety procedures

- Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- A welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and team members

- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment

- Ability to work both independently and with a team

- Ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot

- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes

- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
