We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our Business Platform team, which aims to make merchants happy and help them thrive in their business.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have opportunities to work on multiple backend services, participate in merchant immersions, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform:

- End-to-End System Ownership: Independently design, build, and operate high-quality software systems, ensuring they are secure, reliable, maintainable, and rigorously tested.

- Architectural & Operational Excellence: Apply advanced architectural patterns and infrastructure best practices, while maintaining accountability for post-deployment monitoring and system health.

- Strategic Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, actively contributing to the entire product lifecycle from initial design to final rollout.

- Process Optimization: Proactively identify and implement improvements to team workflows and engineering processes to enhance overall efficiency and delivery.

- Mentorship & Team Growth: Act as a senior engineer by mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Solid software engineering and coding skills, with at least 5 years of experience in a backend language like Go, Scala, Java, or C++.

- Understanding of building microservices architecture and a good grasp of distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and message queuing systems.

- Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL.

- Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (Git), unit testing, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Experience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.

- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
