## Description

GitLab is seeking an Intermediate Fullstack Engineer (Ruby/Vue.js) for its Growth team. The successful candidate will help improve the self-serve funnel for new paying customers, focusing on the in-product journey from first visit through sign-up, trial, and first purchase.

The engineer will work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Data Analysts, primarily on backend development in Ruby on Rails and frontend work in Vue.js. The role involves designing, building, and iterating on A/B tests and experiments to increase first purchases. Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and improving registration, trial, onboarding, and in-product upgrade and purchase experiences

- Implementing backend features and services in Ruby on Rails and frontend experiences using Vue.js

- Analyzing experiment results and product usage data with Data Analysts

- Collaborating with Product Managers and UX Designers to define hypotheses and success metrics

- Maintaining and improving the experimentation framework and tooling

- Collaborating with other Engineering teams to remove purchase barriers

- Documenting decisions, reviewing code, and sharing experiment results asynchronously

The ideal candidate will have professional experience developing with Ruby on Rails and modern JavaScript, along with solid Git, feature development, and deployment workflows. Experience with relational databases, web performance optimization, and Vue.js is beneficial.
