## Description

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide legal support to the FTSE Russell and Risk Intelligence divisions. This London-based role plays a crucial part in enabling product innovation, managing legal and regulatory risk, and supporting commercial execution across global markets.

The role involves serving as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, identifying legal and regulatory risks, and supporting strategic business decisions. You will advise on legal and regulatory implications of emerging technologies, data acquisition strategies, AI-enabled products, and product roadmap decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

- Enabling delivery of risk management and commercial objectives for Risk Intelligence

- Negotiating and managing high-value agreements

- Partnering with stakeholders on new product development and regulatory change

- Collaborating with privacy, litigation, compliance, and risk teams

- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- Qualified lawyer with post-qualification experience in commercial, regulatory, and financial services law

- Demonstrated experience as a legal counsel, including managing strategic initiatives

- Ability to steer stakeholders as a trusted advisor

- Strong strategic, organisational, and analytical skills

- Fluent in English (written and oral)
