## Description

The Production Support Engineer role is a hands-on, business-facing position within the Core Technology Production Support team. The team supports a suite of business-critical financial applications used by Middle Office, Operations, Treasury, and Trading. These platforms are central to the firm's PnL, risk, cash, trade processing, and regulatory reporting workflows.

As a Production Support Engineer, you will work closely with application development, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to keep production stable, respond to incidents with urgency, support releases and batch workflows, and improve processes through documentation, automation, and operational discipline.

Key responsibilities include:

- End-to-end ownership of the production environment

- Infrastructure management

- Release planning and deployment

- Incident and problem management, including root cause analysis

- Capacity Planning / BCP Testing

- Building strong relationships with development and end-users/clients

- Fostering the DevOps culture

- Focusing on client service and delivery

- Becoming the go-to person for your area of responsibility

- Building subject matter expertise

- Creating and maintaining high-quality documentation and runbooks

Qualifications/Skills Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum 5+ years' experience supporting an enterprise environment

- Previous experience supporting business-facing applications

- Strong scripting skills in one of the following: Python (preferred), PowerShell, Perl, etc.

- Excellent SQL skills and knowledge of various database systems

- Ability to support both Windows and Unix/Linux environments

Additional Preferred Skills & Experience:

- Experience working in a trading environment

- Exposure to CI/CD (Jenkins/Octopus/Artifactory), Metrics/KPIs (Datadog/Influx/Tableau), Kafka, Kubernetes, and AI (MCP/Agents)
