## Description

We are seeking a Principal Engineer - Electrical to work on electrical building services designs for Railway Stations and other Railway Buildings in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

The successful candidate will work individually or as part of a team to prepare, coordinate, and monitor projects from conception to completion. They will supervise and mentor Assistant Engineers/Engineers in day-to-day activities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Designing low voltage reticulation and distribution systems (230/400Volt) including UPS sources

- Operating AMTECH/Electrical OM software for low voltage system design

- Designing general and emergency lighting systems

- Working with various lighting types and sources, including LED

- Using industry-standard lighting design software

- Designing cable management systems (CMS) and preparing CMS sizing calculations

- Presenting designs onto schematic and 2D layout drawings

- Modelling 3D MEP services using Bentley Microstation and AECOsim

- Understanding BIM and working within a Common Data Environment

- Supervising and verifying the work of designers/modellers

- Interpreting client specifications and developing designs

- Operating Microsoft Office packages

- Guiding Assistant Engineers/Engineers in electrical design development

- Ensuring health and safety for self and team members

The ideal candidate will have:

- A degree in Electrical Engineering

- Proven experience in electrical design in the Rail environment

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Experience in leading and guiding teams

- Ability to work independently and within a team

- Professional membership and qualification (CEng) from international professional institutions
