## Description

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with 5-15 years of professional experience to join our high-performing team.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will work on complex financial systems that drive critical operations, developing scalable and secure solutions using Java, Spring Framework, and SQL.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop, manage, and improve enterprise-level Java applications

- Leverage Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security) to build scalable and secure solutions

- Write efficient and high-performance SQL queries and optimise database interactions

- Develop multi-threaded applications to handle simultaneous operations

- Implement test-driven development (TDD) principles, writing clear and testable code

- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate financial domain requirements into technical specifications

- Work on financial systems such as exchange platforms, risk management tools, and settlement systems

- Optimise applications for performance and low latency, essential for banking and investment operations

- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to ensure seamless delivery

- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in financial technology

Requirements:

- 5-15 years of practical experience in Java development

- Mastery of Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security)

- Advanced knowledge of SQL and database performance optimisation

- Expertise in test-driven development (TDD) and writing unit/integration tests

- Strong experience with multi-threading, concurrent programming, and low-latency systems

- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and architectural principles

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Bilingual in French and English

Nice to have:

- Previous experience in the banking and investment sector

- Familiarity with FIX protocol, exchange platforms, or risk management systems

- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ

- Experience with profiling and performance optimisation tools

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies

Information Security Responsibilities:

- Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices

- Identify, assess, and report security risks

- Understand and evaluate data storage, processing, and transmission

- Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle
