## Description

We are seeking an exceptional Employment Counsel who will closely partner with our People team, business and technical stakeholders to build and manage employment programs that enable high performers to achieve their best work.

The ideal candidate pairs law firm and in-house experience, with the ability to develop scalable processes and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams in a fast-paced and fun environment.

As an Employment Counsel, you will advise the People team and managers on a wide range of U.S. legal matters, including compensation, benefits, performance management, leaves of absences, and contingent worker issues.

You will implement and manage compliant employment programs to create a culture of high performance, and alignment to Anthropic's values and People philosophy.

You will craft clear and comprehensive written guidance, policies, and communications that effectively translate complex employment law concepts into actionable frameworks for technical and business stakeholders across the organization.

You will leverage your experience to proactively identify and mitigate employment legal risks.

You will liaise and manage relationships with outside counsel, as necessary.

You will stay up to date on relevant employment laws, regulations, industry trends, and disseminate to key stakeholders these developments and their implications to Anthropic's mission and business.
