## Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at Wesley Medical Center, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Delivering patient care in accordance with standards of care defined by Wesley Medical Center

- Systematically evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice

- Acquiring and maintaining current knowledge in nursing practice and education

- Monitoring patient progress toward desired outcomes

- Contributing to the professional development of peers and colleagues

- Collaborating with patients, significant others, and healthcare providers

- Considering safety and cost-effectiveness when delivering patient care

- Making decisions and taking actions on behalf of patients in an ethical manner

- Participating in improving operational functions of the department

- Establishing and maintaining effective communication in collaborative relationships

- Evaluating and participating in opportunities for outstanding service

- Demonstrating knowledge of age-appropriate competencies

- Utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Securing, administering, and handling medication according to guidelines

To qualify for this role, you will need:

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 90 days of employment)

- Basic Cardiac Life Support (within 30 days of employment)

- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (within 6 months of employment)

- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (within 90 days of employment)

- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (within 90 days of employment)

- Trauma Nursing Core Course (within 6 months of employment)

- Registered Nurse (RN) diploma
