## Description

Capital One is looking for an experienced designer with a history of creative leadership, strong results, and a modern, elevated portfolio.

This role will support our Retail Bank creative team, bringing our brand to life across different audiences, products, and digital channels.

**Responsibilities:**

- Deliver design for a range of digital channels, including paid social, display, email, web, and SEM, with a keen attention to detail and high bar for creative excellence.

- Develop design systems, libraries, AI-tool integration, and guidance aligned to our brand standards to help internal and agency teams elevate and scale their work.

- Lead and inspire teams of art directors, designers, and copywriters (including a mix of full-time associates, contractors, and agencies) to develop strategically-grounded, insight-driven creative,while influencing and elevating craft across the group.

- Demonstrate expert knowledge of advertising and marketing trends and translate business intent into creative strategies and executions that market our products effectively.

- Demonstrate an understanding of the intended audience, interpret market research and test results, and use findings to develop and optimize creative.

- Build and maintain relationships with a network of partner groups (digital, marketing, operations, legal, etc.) to anticipate and proactively address obstacles and establish Brand Creative as a strategic thought partner.

- Present and influence with a convincing and inspiring style to increase buy-in and open the door for new opportunities,both for your team and department.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor’s degree or military experience

- At least 3 years of experience leading creative teams

- At least 3 years of experience designing for digital channels, including social media

- At least 5 years of experience as an art director leveraging design tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- 5 or more years of experience directly leading creative teams

- Experience at a large in-house creative team

- Experience working with a Fortune 100 brand

- Experience in storyboarding, motion graphics, and/or video production

- Experience with premarket and in-market testing tools

- Experience leveraging GAI, personalization, and optimization tools in creative development and marketing

**Salary:**

- Sales Territory: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Creative

- McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Creative

- Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Creative

- New York, NY: $165,700 - $189,200 for Manager, Creative
