## Description

The UK government is shifting towards AI, and Scale is playing a key role in this transition.

We are seeking a Public Sector Lead for Central Government to drive this work forward. This role involves owning commercial relationships across civilian departments, focusing on HMRC, DWP, and NHS.

### Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the commercial plan and pipeline for UK civilian central government

- Identify, shape, and close deals from initial conversations through to contract and delivery

- Leverage existing relationships across departments like HMRC, DWP, and NHS

- Navigate frameworks, tenders, and teaming structures effectively

- Be a credible counterpart to senior civil servants and translate their needs into deliverable projects

- Collaborate closely with product and delivery teams to ensure alignment

- Build and lead a small team as the work grows

### Requirements

- Proven experience selling and delivering technology or transformation work to UK civilian central government

- In-depth knowledge of at least one major department (e.g., HMRC, DWP, NHS) and its procurement processes

- Understanding of public sector procurement frameworks, tenders, and stakeholder involvement

- Track record of opening doors, running complex pursuits, and owning results

- Established relationships with senior officials across departments

- Ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments

### Nice to Have

- Experience with AI or data-heavy platforms

- Background in regulated, mission-critical government programmes

- Experience building or running a small go-to-market team
