## Description

As a Senior/Principal Engineer at WSP, you will play a key role in delivering civil and bridge engineering projects, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to landmark projects.

Responsibilities include:

- Bridge design, management, strengthening, and repair

- Inspections and assessments

- General civil and structural engineering support

- Feasibility studies and options appraisals

- Preparation of documents, reports, and health and safety risk assessments

- Scheme designs, drawings, and cost estimates

- Fee estimates

- Supervision of junior team members and CAD technicians

Requirements:

- Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer

- Practical knowledge and experience of bridge design, maintenance, and assessment

- Project management experience

- Proven knowledge in design, maintenance, and supervision of structures

- Experience with Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCDHW)

- Understanding of Eurocodes and their application to bridge design

- Experience with steel, reinforced, and prestressed concrete bridge structures

- Familiarity with grillage, space frame, and finite element analysis software packages

- Good communication, client handling, and interpersonal skills
