## Description

We are seeking a Backend Platform Engineer to develop fit for purpose backend platforms, data pipelines, orchestration frameworks, and machine learning deployment capabilities that enable digital measurement and AI-driven products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, test, deploy, and support production-grade systems responsible for data ingestion, feature processing, algorithm execution, model deployment, and scalable delivery of AI/ML capabilities.

- Develop backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and orchestration frameworks supporting digital measurement and AI-enabled products.

- Implement production-grade systems for data ingestion, feature processing, algorithm execution, model deployment, and machine learning workflow automation.

- Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, machine learning engineers, and architects to translate advanced algorithms into scalable production systems.

- Build and support backend platforms and automation systems capable of processing complex, high-dimensional data and supporting machine learning workloads at scale.

- Improve the performance, scalability, reliability, and efficiency of backend systems, data pipelines, and machine learning production workflows.

- Guide testing and validation of services, pipelines, and deployment capabilities to ensure production readiness and operational reliability.

- Contribute to engineering standards, software quality, code reviews, and platform best practices.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members while contributing as a hands-on individual contributor.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.

- 8+ years' experience designing, building, and supporting production-grade backend systems, distributed applications, data pipelines, and machine learning deployment environments.

- Experience building APIs, backend services, workflow orchestration systems, and scalable data processing applications.

- Programming experience using Python, Java, C++, or equivalent.

- Experience deploying and supporting machine learning, data processing, and analytics workloads in production environments.

- Experience working with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes-based environments, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.

- Experience working with large-scale production systems, cloud environments, and real-world datasets.

- Experience with software testing, monitoring, observability, performance optimization, and engineering best practices.

- Experience collaborating across engineering, data science, product, and architecture teams.
