## Description

IOM is seeking a National Project Officer – Migration Governance and Protection to support the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of migration governance and protection activities in IOM Senegal under the project "Enhancing Protection and Assistance along the Western African Atlantic Route (WAAR)".

The incumbent will contribute to liaison, information-sharing, and technical exchanges with relevant stakeholders and participating IOM offices, while supporting project activities, partnerships, reporting, and capacity-building efforts in IOM Senegal.

**Responsibilities:**

- Monitor the implementation of assigned project activities in IOM Senegal in accordance with IOM procedures and donor requirements, and report on progress and risks.

- Prepare and monitor work plans, budgets, results frameworks, monitoring tools, and project implementation schedules for assigned components.

- Coordinate the collection, verification, analysis, and reporting of project data and interpret findings.

- Liaise with government counterparts, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Implementing Partners (IPs), United Nations (UN) agencies, and other stakeholders involved in project implementation in IOM Senegal.

- Contribute to the planning and delivery of capacity-building activities for government officials, civil society partners, communities, and other project stakeholders.

- Organise workshops, coordination meetings, assessments, monitoring visits, and technical consultations related to project implementation.

- Provide technical inputs to participating IOM offices and regional counterparts and document lessons learned.

- Participate in the preparation of project reports, visibility materials, briefing notes, concept notes, and other programme documents.

- Apply protection, gender, age, diversity, Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and Sexual Harassment (PSEAH), and data protection principles throughout the project implementation.

- Undertake duty travel related to project implementation, monitoring, assessments, and liaison with project stakeholders.

**Qualifications:**

- Master's degree in Humanitarian Protection, Social Work, Psychology, Law, International Relations, International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or Bachelor's degree in the above fields with two years of relevant professional experience.

- Experience in humanitarian project management, liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies, and non-governmental organisations.

- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups.

- Good knowledge or experience on the topic of migrant protection, child protection, GBV, fight against trafficking in persons, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS).

- Good command of MS-Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Strong knowledge of migration governance and regional frameworks related to human mobility in West Africa.

- Fluency in French and English (oral and written).
